6-weeks ($63 registration, $60 instructor fee)This online course is based upon the works of Ron Heifetz, Alexander Grashow, and Marty Linsky from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. This course is an advanced course in adaptive leadership that is a follow-up to the MAT course “The Adaptive Leader.” We recommend that you have taken “The Adaptive Leader” course before taking this course.
In this course you will learn how to diagnose the system in which you are working. You will learn principles and skills for mobilizing the system for addressing adaptive issues. Also, you will learn how to see and diagnose yourself as part of the system and methods for taking care of yourself while immersed in leading an adaptive challenge.
This course will be presented over a six-week period. It will require about five hours of your time per week (1 hour per day or less). The course modules are broken into one-week segments. Each week will begin on Monday morning and end on Sunday evening at midnight. Participants complete their assignments each week within that time period and can work on the course at any time (evenings, weekends, during regular work hours, etc.) First discussion posts to the class discussion are required by Wednesday evening each week and follow-up posts to the discussion no later than Friday. Written papers and tests are required to be completed by Sunday midnight of each week.
