- Registration Closes: September 17, 2010
- Online Student Tutorial Opens: October 4, 2010
- Fall Courses Begin: October 11, 2010
Courses are limited to 15 participants and are available to anyone who works for a state fish and wildlife agency, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, or other AFWA member organizations, when space is available. Registration is on first-come, first-served basis. All participants will receive a Course Certificate upon successful completion of the course (a certificate can be sent for your personnel file on request). Effective Fall Term 2009, required course books will be the responsibility of the student to purchase and/or obtain. Books can no longer be obtained through and shipped by the Management Assistance Team to students for online courses. Total course costs for courses requiring a book will be decreased by the amount of the book originally included in the final invoice. If you register for a course that has required reading materials, you will receive an email from the registrar at the time of enrollment that will include the title and author of the book(s) you will need for that course. You may order books online from vendors such as Amazon.com, buy them from your local bookstore, or borrow them from someone in your agency who has previously taken the course. This new policy does not include XanEdu access codes for articles from periodicals which will still be invoiced and distributed to you through the MAT team.
Each course requires payment of either a $44 technology fee (4-week courses) or a $63 technology fee (6-week courses) plus the applicable cost of other course related materials (approximately a $400 value). Invoices are emailed to students during the first week of the course(s). |
