Sign up now for online courses starting in April
Enrollment for the Management Assistance Team's online Spring term courses will be open January 30 through March 16, 2012 for courses beginning April 9, 2012. Enrollment for our webinars is open until 72 hours prior to the webinar start time or until filled.
Fish and wildlife personnel have unique perspectives, and the Management Assistance Team’s (MAT) online leadership development courses are tailored specifically to conservation professionals. These courses are part of MAT’s Leadership Development Initiative for state fish and wildlife agencies. Each course carries a nominal fee to cover technology costs, instructor fees and copyright protected materials. Courses offered this Winter cost $94 for 4-week offerings and $123 for the 6-week offerings. Courses covering similar topics would cost approximately $400. Some webinars are offered at no cost to the student during the beta testing phase. After the beta testing phase a small instructor fee may apply based on the length of the webinar. Also, webinars featuring special guests will carry a small fee. Courses are available to anyone who works for a state fish and wildlife agency, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and employees of member oganizations of the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. State agency personnel may be given priority.

Participants will be accepted on first-come, first-served basis (state fish and wildlife agency personnel may be given priority). The Purchase Order you receive when you register is confirmation that you are enrolled.
MAT will email an invoice to you for the course fees during the first week of classes.
Each class is limited to 15 participants.
Important notice for online students:
The Multi-state Conservation Grant that funds the Management Assistance Team was renewed in September 2010 and now requires that student fees cover the instruction costs for MAT online courses; therefore, there will be an increase in the online course costs beginning with the Winter 2011 term. MAT contracts with and trains a number of certified course facilitators to meet the demand for its online courses; the increased costs to the students will not in any way be a profit-making endeavor for the MAT Team. The courses remain a tremendous bargain for state fish and wildlife agencies, and the MAT Team is committed to their continuous improvement and new development.
Required course books are the responsibility of the student to purchase and/or obtain. You may order books online from vendors such as Amazon.com, buy them from your local bookstore, or borrow them from someone in your agency who has previously taken the course. This new policy does not include XanEdu access codes for articles from periodicals which will still be invoiced and distributed to you through the MAT team.
