Team Members
Sally is a senior organization development consultant with the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies’ Management Assistance Team (MAT). She also serves as the Executive Director of the National Conservation Leadership Institute. Sally brings 20 years of commitment and comprehensive experience to the field of change management. She has served as exuberant lecturer, provocative author, creative facilitator, compassionate consultant, and researcher with specific attention to senior management consultation and coaching. Leadership, workforce diversity and organizational culture are key areas of focus. Sally has a rich and varied background in education, having taught grades K-college. For the last several years, she has taught a masters program in strategic leadership as adjunct faculty at Mountain State University. In another life, she created a private elementary school in Virginia and served as its Headmistress for six years. Before joining the Management Assistance Team in 1993, Sally headed up education for the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. Sally earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Richmond, Virginia, a master’s degree in science education from the University of Virginia, and a doctorate in organization and human resource development from Colorado State University. A native Virginian, Sally now lives and works in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, with her husband, Dwight. She has two grown sons, three grandchildren, and a cairn terrier. Dwight Guynn is a consultant and trainer with the Management Assistance Team, having over twenty-five years of experience in the field of fish and wildlife management. Before joining MAT in 1997, he spent ten years coordinating the Responsive Management Unit of Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks. Dwight is skilled in the facilitation of organizational efforts related to leadership, management development, employee buy-in, citizen participation and comprehensive management systems. Dwight earned a bachelor’s degree in forestry and wildlife, and a master’s degree in wildlife biology from Virginia Tech. His doctorate in wildlife management is from Colorado State University. He enjoys bowhunting, fly-fishing, art and backpacking.

Gina serves as a project leader for the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies’ Management Assistance Team. In her role, Gina provides consulting and training to state fish and wildlife member agencies in an array of areas including workforce planning, emotional intelligence, and organization development and change. Gina also participates in organization and programmatic effectiveness reviews for state fish and wildlife agencies upon the request of the Director. In addition, she helps facilitate the development and delivery of the online leadership courses and Conservation Leadership Program of Study available to all state fish and wildlife employees.
Gina helps staff and manage the National Conservation Leadership Institute, a seven month long, world-class experience helping to prepare extraordinary leaders for the future. The NCLI reaches across organizational boundaries to conservation and natural resource organizations, industries and tribes.
As part of the MAT team, she works closely with and staffs the Association of Leadership and Professional Development Committee and is a participant in the Education, Outreach, and Diversity Committee. Lastly, Gina is heavily involved in MAT’s and NCLI’s outreach efforts.
When not tethered to her desk, Gina enjoys traveling, cycling, hiking, and spending time with her husband and three children.

 Donna Reeves brings to the MAT team a wealth of experience and a great sense of humor. Donna has many years experience in the education, legal and business industries. She holds a bachelors degree from Shepherd University. Donna grew up in central Ohio then spent 14 years in South Dakota before moving to the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. While living out west she took advantage of opportunities to visit many national and state parks and monuments. Among her interest and hobbies are traveling, photography, kayaking and many handicrafts. She currently has 4 dogs and 7 cats. Donna collects Flamingos (but not those tacky lawn ornaments!). |

Amanda Myers joined the Management Assistance Team in August 2008 and currently serves as the Training and Information Services Administrator. Amanda is the registrar for MAT's leadership development courses. She coordinates the application process for the NCLI as well as assists with the preparation for the Fellows' residencies. Amanda is responsible for managing the NCLI and MAT websites. She is an avid reader/ book collector and enjoys spending time with her family.

Colby Smith recently joined the Management Assistance Team in 2009 as the Print Production and Graphic Specialist. She is responsible for enhancing the understanding and visual communication of instructional and promotional materials created by the MAT team. She earned her BFA concentrating in Graphic Design from James Madison University and considers the MAT team a great foundation for her career as a designer. She is an avid reader and loves to express her creativity through the art of screenprinting.
