For Individuals Print E-mail

Leadership happens at all levels in an organization. Whether your ambition is to rise to the top of your organization or to be the most effective you can be in your current position, MAT’s Conservation Leadership Program of Study (CLPS) can help you achieve your goals. This program is designed to be flexible to the needs of busy fish and wildlife professionals. The certification is a challenging set of courses followed by a final project. Completing the CLPS can take from 1-4.5 years. If you have taken a MAT online leadership course, all you need to do is register that you are participating in the certification process, and when you have completed the program requirements, the courses will have prepared you for a large variety of leadership challenges, and will help you excel at whatever you endeavor to accomplish.

The Conservation Leadership Program of Study (CLPS) is a tool that any fish and wildlife agency can implement to increase the number of individuals prepared to take on the leadership challenges the agency will face in the coming years. This program is not intended to replace other leadership development opportunities within any agency. Rather it should enhance any existing programs already in place within an agency. Furthermore, this program may extend the ability of agencies to provide leadership development programming to geographically dispersed workers.
