Have You Nominated?

The National Conservation Leadership Institute is now accepting nominations for its twelfth cohort.

For more than a decade now the National Conservation Leadership institute (NCLI) has been addressing the growing need for increased leadership capacity in natural resource management. The organizational, environmental and political challenges faced by these professionals are unprecedented.

Today, numerous organizations realize the value of the NCLI experience, and take advantage of the program year after year. Following the world-renowned principles of Adaptive Leadership™, NCLI helps high-achieving conservation professionals learn advanced, adaptive problem-solving skills; establish life-long, high-trust relationships across organizational boundaries; and foster meaningful dialogue among the diverse voices that collectively represent natural resource management in North America.

We encourage nominators from federal agencies, state fish and wildlife agencies, non-governmental organizations, natural resource related industry organizations, and tribal organizations to submit up to three individuals to compete for one of 36 spaces in this world class leadership development program. Final selection is highly competitive, so early internal recruitment and nomination is recommended. As always, applicants to the NCLI must be nominated by their agency director.

Nominations will be accepted through April 15, 2017. Learn more about the application process here, visit www.conservationleadership.org for further information, or contact Amanda Myers at 304.876.7797.
